Social Media Tool

As we have discussed it is important to use social networks for your business. Not only is it a great way to keep connected with clients and acquire new business, but it is a great for HVAC search engine optimization and will help improve your search engine ranking.

However, it can be a hassle to post updates to each of the various social networks. The more social networks, the more time required to post to each site. Fortunately, we have found a better way.

The service is called Ping.

The free service allows you to make an update to all of the social media networks to which you are subscribed with a single post. Now updating social networks is simple and easy.

If you are using social networks for your business, you may want to consider this service especially considering the results from a study performed by ROI Research and Performics. The study that found that consumers want companies to communicate via social networks frequently. In fact over half of the respondants (53%) expect at least weekly communication once they have "liked" or "subscribed" to your social network profile.

This means if you establish a social network profile for your business, you best commit to it. We hope this service from Ping will make it easier for you update your social media networks and all you to post more frequently.

Magjumper and Mullenix Furnace Tool

As I mentioned in my prior newsletters, I wanted share with you the Magjumper and Mullenix Furnace Tool. Both products were invented and patented by HVAC contractors and with the help of Contractor Tech, they are being sold in HVAC wholesalers across the country.

Magjumper

The Magjumper replaces traditional alligator clips so that when diagnosing recessed or hard-to-get-to terminals, the jumpers stay put. No more popping off terminals! The Magjumper is great for low voltage troubleshooting on thermostats, control boards, sensors and switches.

Mullenix Furnace Tool

Contractors can finally put away the duct tape when trying to keep the furnace engaged during diagnostics. The Mullenix Furnace Tool saves time and money by attaching to the furnace chassis and clamping down on the furnace switch to keep it engaged. The Mullenix Furnace Tool works on all types of furnace switches and is a must-have tool during the heating season.

iPad 3 Coming Soon...

It's official: Apple will announce its next iPad on Wednesday, March 7. If Apple follows the same pattern as with the iPad 2 launch, they will go on sale 9 days later on Friday, March 16th.

Some of the features expected in this version include:

Improved display - maybe 2048x1536 pixels
Faster processor - possibly a quad-core A6 chip
Support faster LTE data networks (4G)
Bigger battery and improved camera

If you don't want to stand in line for days or be frustrated when online stores sell out in a blink of an eye, you may want to consider getting an iPad 2. Most stores are having sales to rid themselves of inventory in anticipation of the iPad 3 launch. Stores like Micro Center have taken $50 off their list price - www.microcenter.com/storefronts/apple/ipad.html

I know I said this last time, but in the next newsletter we will share information on a couple of products invented by contractors.
